It's home for the holiday break for the 17th-ranked Lady Cardinals with a 12-2 record after a 97-76 non-conference basketball win Saturday afternoon in Terrell against Southwestern Christian College.
The Lady Cardinals are scheduled to return to action on Monday, Jan. 5 on the road against Hinds Community College in Utica, MS, in a 5 p.m. tipoff.
A 28-point opening quarter gave the Lady Cardinals, who have won 11 straight, control of the scoreboard. After leading 46-37 at the half, they put up 29 to put the game away.
Kenidi Glover, hitting 8-of-11 shots, tossed in 25 points to lead the Lady Cardinals. Nuria Puig, coming of a 32-point performance in a 97-40 win against Cisco, had 22.
Nneoma Aliozor and Heaven Jordan had 12 each for the Lady Cardinals and Taylor Day-Davis 11.
Saliz Ward and Glover had seven rebounds each.
The Lady Cardinals shot 46 free throws, hitting 22.
