The 16th-ranked Cardinals were back in the win column Tuesday afternoon, taking a 4-0 Region XIV Conference soccer decision on the road against Jacksonville College.
First-year head coach Adam Sanchez's Cardinals built a 3-0 halftime lead in improving to 3-1-3 on the season and 2-0-3 in conference.
The Cardinals are scheduled to be in action again Friday on the road against No. 14 Tyler. Action at Pat Hartley field is set to start at 7 p.m.
The next home match for the Cardinals is scheduled Tuesday, Sept. 23, against Northeast Texas. Action at The Pit is set for a 4 p.m. start.
In shutting out Jacksonville, the Cardinals got one goal each from Angie Saade, Kate Garrett, Paola Gomez and Meriem Mihoubi.
Natalia Castaneda had an assist for the Cardinals.
