LEADING THE WAY: TVCC roper No. 1 in region

Trinity Valley Community College's Kaden Profili entered this weekend's Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo in Mount Pleasant ranked No. 1 in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Southern Region 2020-2021 team roping heeling title race.

After competing in the first two rodeos of the regular season, Profili was in first place in the regional heeling standings with 235 points, 75 ahead of No. 2 ranked Ty Michael Eason of Texas A&M Commerce.

Profilli and his heading partner, Peyton Walters of Hill College, clinched the team roping title at the Sept. 25-26 Panola College Rodeo in Carthage. The duo also finished fourth at the Oct. 2-3 Southwest Texas Junior College Rodeo in Uvalde.

The Oct 16-17 Northeast Texas Community College is the third of 10 Southern Region regular season rodeos scheduled for the 2020-2021 regular season.
