ROAD SHOW: No. 8 Cardinals shine in Paris

Building a 42-24 halftime lead with a furious defensive finish in the final two minutes, the eighth-ranked Cardinals rolled to an 89-64 win against Paris in Region XIV Conference action Wednesday night in Paris.

Any hopes Paris had for mounting a comeback were dashed as the second half began. The Cardinals opened with a 10-0 run and that was that.

The Cardinals improved to 19-4 overall and 12-3 in conference with the win. Paris slipped to 11-11 and 6-8.

Next up for the Cardinals is Bossier Parish (9-14, 3-12) in a 4 p.m. tipoff Saturday at Cardinal Gym.

Armani Henderson, hitting 8-of-12 shots, led the Cardinals with 20 points. He also had three rebounds and six steals, three of which sparked the Cardinals as the first half closed.

Zati Loubaki and Braylon Wenger scored 14 each and M.J. Wardlow had 13.

Didi Zanquim had six points and 10 rebounds.

Derelle Desire also had 10 rebounds to go along with five points.

The Cardinals were 11-of-15 from the free throw line and outrebounded the Dragons 44-31.
