ROAD ROUT: No. 10 Cardinals drill ABC, 63-18

It was a day for the quarterbacks to shine Saturday in a 63-18 non-conference win against Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Ark.

 The 10th-ranked Trinity Valley Community Cardinals scored early and often in improving to 4-1 on the season.
 

Quarterbacks Michael Curtis, Shelton Eppler and Rayjohn Austin-Ramsey combined to complete 25-of-34 passes for 352 yards and six touchdowns in the win. Curtis, who started the game, was 10-of-13 for 113 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 26 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Eppler hit 10-of-15 for 152 yards and two scores and Austin-Ramsey was 5-of-6 for 87 yards and a score.

 Cedric Battle led a ground game that produced 213 yards with 80 yards and a score on eight carries. Le'Vonte Owens had 61 yards on five carries. Khalil Banks picked up 27 yards on four rushes and scored a touchdown.
 Anthony Turner led 13 players catching passes with 82 yards and a touchdown on four receptions. Travier Jackson had three catches for 80 yards. Josh Hodges, Phillip Baptiste, D.J. Hicks and Kam Williams each caught a pass for a score.
Kicker Caden Novikoff was 9-of-9 on PATs.
 

Tyrell Thompson led the defensive effort with seven tackles and two and-a-half sacks. Corey Smith also had seven tackles and recorded a sack.

 The Cardinals were up 56-12 at the half.
Next up for the Cardinals is a home game against eighth-ranked unbeaten New Mexico Military Institute (4-0). Game time at Bruce Field is 5 p.m. Saturday.
