Ring it up. Cardinal Cheer has gone back-to-back.
The Home of Champions added another title to its resume Saturday when Cardinal Cheer easily outscored Connors State College to capture a second consecutive co-ed crown at the NJCAA Cheerleading Invitational at Hi-Vee Arena in Kansas City, Mo.
Cardinal Cheer bested Connors State by a 119-24 count in the finals. That followed a 120-19.5 domination in the semifinals, also against Connors State.
"We are very proud of our student-athletes for adding another NJCAA championship trophy to our collection," said Eddie Kite, Associate Vice President of Athletics. "The championship is a result of the hard work they put in and the commitment they made to the goal of repeating."
Representing Cardinal Cheer in the competition were Preston Abilla, Kennedi Bale, Karlie Beaton, Katarina Capasso, Kensley Cardosa, Jada Cherry, Destiny Delk, Joe Frame, Rachel Gray, Taelor Helms, Tara Jaramillo, Janiya Jefferson, Grace Knapp, Madyson Knight, Dallas LaGrand, Maddie Lopez, Sarah Lopez, Jesus Maya, Alexa Moore, Peyton Passmore, Petra Patkova, Jaylin Rover, Laniya Warner Perryman, Reese Wawee and Whitney Zeka.
