Shipp, a longtime coaching veteran, begins his first season on the staff. He will coach the defensive line. After a storied playing career at Oklahoma University, he was selected with the 14th pick in the first round of the 1984 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins. He played five seasons with the Dolphins and one with the Los Angeles Raiders before retiring and returning to the sideline as a coach. Among his coaching stops are Alabama, Oklahoma, Arizona State and Missouri. He was on the staff at Oklahoma for 14 seasons, including the BCS title season that concluded in the 2001 Orange Bowl.
