THE DREAM LIVES ON: 4 Former Cardinals sign with NFL teams

Though they didn't hear their names called during the NFL draft over the weekend, the dream to play on Sunday did not die for four former Cardinals.

Andre Wilson, Jalen Guyton, Justice Powers and Tyrell Thompson have signed undrafted free agent contracts.

"We are very proud of them," Cardinal head coach Sherard Poteete said. "They were big contributors to our program during their time here and we are excited to see them get an opportunity to play on the professional level."

Wilson, a wide receiver for the Cardinals in 2014-15 before moving on to Alabama-Birmingham, signed with the Detroit Lions.

Guyton, also a wide receiver, who played for the Cardinals in 2016 after transferring from Notre Dame and then went on to North Texas, signed with the Dallas Cowboys.

Powers, an offensive lineman for the Cardinals  in 2015-16 and finished his collegiate playing career at Alabama-Birmingham, signed with the Atlanta Falcons.

Thompson, a defensive end, played for the Cardinals in 2016 after transferring from Blinn. He moved on to Tarleton State and has signed with the Los Angeles Rams.
